Job summary

Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Weekend Warrior RN to provide compassionate care in our long‑term care facility.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support discharge planning. The ideal candidate holds a current TN RN license and has at least one year of long‑term care experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• At least one year of RN experience in a Long Term Care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consults and coordinates with health care team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepares and administers medications and records administration; reports adverse reactions.
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors and adjusts equipment; interprets electronic displays.
• Initiates corrective action for adverse symptoms.
• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients.
• Changes dressings, inserts catheters, starts IVs.
• Assists physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Responds to life‑threatening situations per nursing standards.
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Manages time effectively and documents care accurately.
• Performs other position‑related duties as assigned.

RN Core Responsibilities:

• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans

• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.

• Records patients medical information and vital signs.

• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays.

• Initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology

• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients.

• Changes dressings, insert catheters, starts IVs

• Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient

• Responds to life‑saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol

• Participates in discharge planning.

• Utilizes time management skills.

• Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.

• Performs other position‑related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.

RN Requirements:

• Current RN license in the state

• At least one year of RN experience in a Long Term Care Setting preferred.
