Job summary

Atrium Health Union is seeking a Radiology X-ray professional to perform radiographic examinations under the radiologist's supervision. The role involves coordinating daily activities, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining accurate records within a busy radiology department.

The position is full-time with a 36-hour workweek and a weekend rotation. A sign-on bonus may be eligible based on qualifications and policy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire; CPR certification required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development appropriate to patient populations served.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures with minimal supervision.
• Documents patient history on requisitions submitted by physicians.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Operates equipment as dictated by the procedure and ensures proper positioning.
