Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• Must be registered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification within twelve (12) months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging to demonstrate anatomy and/or physiology for interpretation and/or intervention.
• Exhibits professional judgment and maintains a demeanor aligned with quality care.
• Delivers care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful procedures.
• Complies with state and federal regulations for each modality.
• Adheres to Baptist Health mission statements and strategic imperatives.
• Assesses the patient’s physical condition and age-specific needs.
• Provides instructions to achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
• Performs proper patient identification, acquires patient’s clinical history, and documents accurately.
• Positions patient and equipment to obtain high-quality images.
• Assesses diagnostic images for quality, annotation, and patient identification.
• Applies principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure.
• Participates in Quality Control tasks and standards.
• Demonstrates proficiency in contrast medication administration.
• Manages adverse reactions to contrast and other emergencies.
• Applies standard precautions and PPE to prevent cross-contamination.
• Assists in supervising student technologists and training new technologists.
• Uses Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
• Ensures safety of all customers.
• Maintains attendance and compliance with policies and standards.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Provides patient transport.
