Job summary

Inova Fairfax Medical Center in Falls Church, VA, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) to join the on-site team. You will perform radiographic procedures with attention to safety, quality, and patient comfort, across fluoroscopy, trauma, ED and OR settings.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiography program, state licensure, ARRT certification within 12 months, and 2 years of radiology training/experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school/program of radiography.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist per state requirements.
• ARRT certification within 12 months of hire; BLS at start.
• Two years of classroom and clinical radiology experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply radiologic principles using appropriate techniques for optimal examinations.
• Demonstrate radiation protection procedures and shielding.
• Operate imaging equipment in fluoroscopy, trauma, ED and OR.
• Assist in teaching radiography students and principles.
• Communicate with patients to obtain history and consent.
