Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) for a Weekend Premium, on a full-time day shift schedule (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 7:00am–7:30pm).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiology school or program; Associate's degree preferred but not required.
• BLS certification required on start.
• American Registered Radiologic Technologist within 12 months.
• Two years of combined classroom and clinical training in radiology; recent hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical radiology services per radiology practice standards.
• Ensure patient safety and sound care according to hospital policies.
• Demonstrate radiation protection for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain equipment, exam rooms and work areas in clean, safe condition.
• Assist in teaching radiography students on principles and practices.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) Weekend Premium Job Responsibilities:

• The Radiologic Technologist provides clinical services according to radiology practice standards and acts as a resource to radiography students and other technologists to ensure optimal department functions.
• Administers sound patient care practice according to hospital and department policies/procedures to ensure the safety of patients.
• Demonstrates radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition. Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations while demonstrating the initiative for self-development to ensure the proficiency of staff with new technological changes.
• Assists in teaching radiography students sound radiography principles.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited radiology school or program. Associate's degree preferred but not required.
• Certification:

  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association upon start.

  • American Registered Radiologic Technologist within 12 Months.

• Experience: Two years of combined classroom and clinical training in radiology. Recent experience in a hospital/healthcare environment as a Radiologic Technologist or student.
