Job summary

Fortress Nutrition is seeking a Quality Control Associate to perform testing on raw materials, in-process samples and finished goods. You will calibrate and maintain lab instrumentation, collect samples for third‑party testing, and communicate quality data to production teams.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in QC. Work on a 3‑day weekend schedule with potential overtime and a weekend premium. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a quality control role (food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or similar preferred)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office programs

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished goods
• Collect samples for third‑party testing
• Calibrate and maintain lab instrumentation
• Communicate quality data to production teams
• Complete documentation in real time following Good Documentation Practices
• Support audits from regulatory and third-party organizations
• Conduct environmental monitoring and testing programs
• Cross-train to ensure full quality coverage across operations
• Follow GMPs and food safety standards
• Support operations with overtime as needed
