Methodist Senior Services is seeking a PRN Weekend Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team at Trinity Place in Columbus, Mississippi. This role focuses on helping residents improve or maintain strength, mobility, balance, and independence under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license or eligibility for license in Mississippi.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Provide skilled PT interventions to improve strength, balance, and mobility.
• Assist residents with transfers, gait training, and therapeutic exercises.
• Monitor residents' responses and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
• Document treatments and progress in accordance with standards.
• Collaborate with residents, families and interdisciplinary care team.
