Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems in Massachusetts is seeking a Production Technician to join the team responsible for building and testing superconducting magnets. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring equipment is maintained and processes meet quality goals.

The role requires at least 6 years in electro-mechanical assembly with hands-on use of precision tools. You will perform production builds, read drawings and wiring diagrams, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with Operations,

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalency certificate or higher.
• Minimum of 6 years experience with various hand tools.
• Minimum of 6 years experience in Mechanical or Electrical Assembly.

Responsibilities

• Build electromechanical parts and assemblies.
• Develop and qualify new manufacturing techniques and processes.
• Perform production builds according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and detailed work instructions.
• Operate production, testing and high-powered magnet equipment.
