Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Production Technician Contractor to build and test electromechanical assemblies and to support the manufacturing of superconducting magnets. You will work in a fast-paced environment, performing precision assembly and using torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, and related tools.

The role requires 6+ years in electro-mechanical assembly, experience with winding equipment, and a strong safety/quality mindset.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in electro-mechanical assembly required.
• Experience with winding equipment is a plus.
• Experience with cryogenic handling (LN2/helium) is preferred.
• Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring devices.
• Strong safety and quality focus; able to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Build electromechanical parts and assemblies.
• Operate production, testing, and magnet equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing discrepancies and drive improvements.
• Follow procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality and other teams.
