Job summary

USPI Arizona Specialty Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist PRN to evaluate and treat hospitalized patients, focusing on orthopedic and spinal needs. The role includes planning treatment, documenting progress, and collaborating with physicians and staff. Weekend and some evening hours are required.

The position offers a supportive hospital environment with opportunities for professional development and participation in ergonomic and peri-surgery education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current licensed in the State of Arizona.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Maintains continuing education credits as required by Arizona.
• Minimum 3 year orthopedic experience, preferred.
• Current BLS required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledgeable of current treatment protocols and rehabilitation equipment.
• Hospital experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and implements treatments for hospitalized patients according to age specific needs.
• Reviews with patient and caregiver the diagnosis, prognosis and goals while planning a safe treatment plan.
• Collaborates with the referring physician and hospital staff and completes documentation concisely.
• Provides input for staff training in ergonomics, body mechanics and peri-surgery education.
