Job summary

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist (Weekend PRN) to join our rehabilitation team. We care for 160 beds and operate a 7-day-a-week rehabilitation program, with a focus on aging and long-term care.

New graduates are welcome to apply. The PT oversees and collaborates with PT Assistants to deliver patient-centered therapy, ensuring quality documentation and adherence to confidentiality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Must hold a valid NY license/registration.
• Experience in long-term care/geriatric care preferred.
• Proficient in documentation writing and records.
• Ability to supervise Physical Therapy Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients and provide direct PT care.
• Establish and administer treatment plans with goals.
• Document patient status, progress, and discharge notes.
• Educate patients and families about therapy approaches.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize care.
