Job summary

Wellstar Health System in the United States is seeking a Unit Support Associate for weekend coverage. You will transport patients, verify identities, and assist with care activities across the ED, Radiology and procedure areas.

Qualifications

• HS degree or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read/write English.
• Good communication and customer service skills; able to multi-task and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from ED, Radiology, and test areas.
• Verify patient identification and sign out patients to RN.
• Move patients safely using proper body mechanics.
• Ensure O2 and IV equipment are transported correctly.
• Practice handwashing and isolation procedures.
• Stock rooms and prepare equipment as needed.
• Assist with filing physician transcription in EMR.
