Zusammenfassung

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Unit Support Associate to facilitate safe patient transportation to and from the ED, Radiology, and Procedure areas at Kennestone. You will assist with equipment, patient handling, and basic care under licensed staff supervision, ensuring timely, compassionate service.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and strong communication and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifikationen

• HS degree or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication skills and handwriting; ability to read and speak English.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with health care providers.
• Preferred hospital/medical experience.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Aufgaben

• Transport patients to and from ED, Radiology, and Test/Procedure areas.
• Verify patient identification and communicate with RN on return.
• Assist with ambulation, stocking supplies, and handling IV/O2 equipment.
• Maintain proper handwashing and isolation techniques and use body mechanics.
• Assist with filing physician transcription/dictation in EMR.
• Provide care under supervision and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
