Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide direct rehab services on a PRN basis with weekend availability in our Houston area facility. The OT will assess, treat, and document patient progress within regulatory standards and Life Care policies.

Responsibilities include establishing goals, supervising OTAs and rehab staff, and collaborating with physicians and families to support patient independence.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification upon hire (renewal optional)
• Graduate of an accredited OT program (BSOT or MSOT)
• Current active license in the applicable state throughout employment
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation, kept current during employment

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and email
• Coordinate with patients/families and departments for patient needs
• Maintain body mechanics and safety protocols
• Make independent decisions when warranted
• Follow laws, regulations and Life Care standards in post-acute care
• Execute department programs, goals, policies and procedures
• Maintain patient rights and safety/compliance practices
• Maintain confidential information and professional relationships
• Adhere to Life Care Conduct and compliance training
