Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas seeks an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient behavioral health coverage at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. This hospital-employed PRN role supports a 30-bed adult unit with a collaborative team and a flexible weekend schedule.

The ideal candidate will have PA/NP training, NCCPA certification (or PMHNP for NP), NC licensure, DEA eligibility, and ACLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program and eligible for NC licensure and DEA registration.
• PA must have NCCPA certification; NP must have PMHNP certification.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient psychiatric rounding on a 30-bed unit.
• Provide behavioral health consultations in hospital and ED.
• Participate in weekend PRN coverage as scheduled.
