Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient behavioral health coverage at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. The role is PRN, with one to two weekends per month, and supports a 30‑bed adult unit with strong physician and APP backing.

The ideal candidate has NCCPA certification (and PMHNP if NP), ACLS, and NC licensure with DEA registration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification required for PAs; PMHNP certification required for NPs.
• AHA ACLS certification required; North Carolina licensure and DEA registration needed.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient psychiatric rounding on a 30-bed adult unit.
• Perform behavioral health consultations in hospital and ED settings.
• Collaborate with physicians and APPs in a collegial team; support coverage one to two weekends per month.
