Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring for a weekend shift assembler responsible for fitting, soldering, cleaning and preparing units for shipping in a manufacturing setting. The role requires dexterity, tool proficiency, and the ability to work with safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include operating power tools and a crane, performing inspections and ensuring quality during assembly, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and teamwork within the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hand tools.
• Read measuring tape.
• Good hand dexterity required to fit and assemble product.
• Some judgment required.
• Perform math at a level normally acquired through completion of high school.
• Ability to maintain clean and safe work area and/or equipment as required.
• Must qualify in one of the following processes: Insulation PSI Testing, Tube Rolling, Hydro Testing, Cable Assembly, Panel Assembly, Water Box Installation, Brazing Test Covers Shotblast Forklift Heat Gun.

Responsibilities

• Fits, adjusts, installs or fastens unit or component parts to a unit.
• Solders (brazes) on the unit or its component parts.
• Shotblasts units, moves material and drives the forklift.
• Wraps units by using a heat gun.
• Prepares units for shipping.
• Cleans equipment.
• Performs housekeeping and other duties as required.
