Zusammenfassung

The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a 100% time Physician Assistant to provide direct patient care in the Infusion Suite of the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center. The PA will exercise autonomous clinical decision making within their scope of practice and work with an interdisciplinary team to support quality care and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessing and treating patients during infusion, ordering medications, documenting plans, and supporting quality improvement

Qualifikationen

• Must be licensed/registered as a Physician Assistant in Iowa
• Graduation from an accredited PA program and NCCPA certification
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in hematology/oncology or infusion therapy is desirable

Aufgaben

• Provide direct patient care in the Infusion Suite and Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center
• Order medications, administer drugs, and manage chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusions
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to monitor patient care quality
• Document assessments and care plans in the medical record
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives
• Support daily operations and workflow improvements in Infusion Suite
• Serve as a liaison with prescribers and patients
• Perform administrative duties related to the position
