Anticipated Start Date: 5/2/25

Anticipated Hours Per Week: 12

Schedule: Start and end times flexible. Additional hours often available.

  • Two half weekends (e.g., Friday 5 pm - Saturday 5 pm) per month

Salary/Wage Range: Hourly $15.75 to $18.83

Number Of Positions: 3

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Hi there! I am looking for a hard-working and reliable person to assist me, a male quadriplegic due to spinal cord injury, with my personal cares and other daily activities. You will be joining my team of excellent caregivers. No previous experience necessary. This is a great resume builder for individuals going into healthcare professions, such as OT, PT, nursing, and medicine. Located downtown Madison - close to State Street and the Capitol.

Duties:

  • Provide assistance with personal cares, such as dressing, showering, toileting, transfer to and from wheelchair, meal prep, laundry, housekeeping, etc.
  • Some lifting is required.

Other:

  • Each shift will usually present you with downtime/personal time.
  • I travel frequently, so you may have opportunities to do so with me.
  • $15.75 - 18.83/hr for active hours. $10.50/hr for overnight/sleep time.

Qualifications:

  • You must be able to follow directions and communicate with me accurately.
  • You must also be responsible and a team player.
  • You must have a valid driver's license--but you do not need a vehicle.
  • You must pass a criminal background check.
  • CNA/Caregiving experience NOT REQUIRED.
  • I require a one-year commitment at least. Multiple years preferred.
