Job summary

Children’s Health in Dallas seeks a Registered Nurse for weekend option night shifts to provide direct patient care in acute care settings. The role requires collaboration with physicians and care teams to deliver developmentally appropriate care and ensure patient safety.

The RN will utilize the nursing process and participate in care planning, patient education, and coordination across units to promote positive outcomes for pediatric patients and families.

Qualifications

• Pediatric nursing experience is preferred and required for independent practice.
• Nursing skills with patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Experience collaborating with physicians and care teams in a clinical setting.
• Ability to apply evidence-based guidelines to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs the functions of a registered nurse in direct patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care.
• Collaborates with other health care professionals to plan and deliver comprehensive care.
• Provides education to patients, families, and care teams with cultural sensitivity.
• Coordinate and oversee care plans with the patient care team between shifts.
