Job summary

Compass Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse (Float) at Royal Oaks Hospital in Missouri to provide trauma-informed, patient-centered care to children and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric setting. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include education and emotional support for patients and families, overseeing progress, and mentoring new team members.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• At least one year of psychiatric experience preferred.
• RN or GN that must pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver trauma-informed, patient-centered nursing care for children and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric setting
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate individualized care
• Monitor, assess, and document patient progress, ensuring safety and quality standards are met
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
• Mentor and support new nursing team members to promote professional growth
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and continuing education efforts
