Job summary

Independence Health System in Greensburg, PA is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Tech for weekend shifts. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of RNs or LPNs, respond to patient needs, and help with daily living activities on a busy hospital unit.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or higher and BLS; CNA experience is preferred. This weekend role may involve rotating shifts and local travel between Independence Health locations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or higher.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• CNA certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Respond to call lights and patient inquiries promptly.
• Take and document patient data, including intake/output and daily weights when indicated.
• Assist with activities of daily living and transport patients as directed.
• Maintain infection control and follow hospital policies and procedures.

Education

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
