Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician for the Med Surg 4AB unit in Greensburg, PA. This casual, part-time role supports the RN/LPN in delivering direct and indirect patient care in a busy hospital setting.

You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients, document care data, and help ensure patient safety and comfort while maintaining compliance with policies and procedures. Travel between Independence Health locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Good judgment and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient meals.
• Respond to call lights and patient needs promptly.
• Document and report patient data as directed.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor patient condition.
• Maintain safe, clean patient environment and demonstrate professional behavior.
