Baptist Health Hardin is seeking a dedicated Unit Secretary to support the 3 North Tower Medical Surgical unit. This part-time role (7a–7p) covers Saturday and Sunday, performing clerical and receptionist duties and coordinating patient flow under the Charge Nurse.

The position handles admissions, discharges, transfers, and schedules testing and follow-up appointments, ensuring timely communication of messages and prioritizing tasks to meet patient care needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsabilités

• Perform clerical and receptionist duties for the nursing unit.
• Coordinate patient flow under the direction of the Charge Nurse.
• Handle admissions, discharges, and transfers clerical tasks.
• Send/receive/and communicate telephone messages promptly.
• Coordinate patient appointments for testing and physician follow up.
• Prioritize work to meet patient care and unit needs.
