Job summary

Emmetsburg Care Center is seeking a Weekend Package Nurse to join our caring team. You will play a pivotal role in managing the assigned unit and ensuring residents receive the high standard of care they expect from our facility.

As a Weekend Package Nurse, you will supervise clinical staff, provide guidance and education, and uphold infection prevention practices while maintaining adequate staffing to meet residents' needs. Strong leadership and commitment to excellence are essential.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered RN or LPN license (Iowa or compact state)
• CPR certification is required
• Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferable

Responsibilities

• Manage operations of the assigned unit
• Supervise activities of all clinical staff on the unit
• Provide guidance and education to clinical staff
• Support infection prevention practices and staffing adequacy
• Contribute to maintaining an inclusive facility culture to ensure high-quality resident care

As a Weekend Package nurse you are instrumental in managing operations of your assigned unit. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Emmetsburg Care Center by assisting with supervising the activities of all clinical staff on your assigned unit, providing guidance and education to clinical staff, assisting with instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, ensuring established infection prevention practices are maintained and ensuring adequate staffing for our resident’s needs. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an unencumbered State of Iowa (or compact state) Registered Nurse (R.N.) or License Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) license and CPR certification. Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable.
