Trilogy Health Services in Ferdinand, IN is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide holistic care on the assigned unit, observing residents daily and reporting changes to the care team.

The role includes urgent response in emergencies in the absence of a physician and involvement in medication inventory and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state LPN license.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Identify resident problems and emergencies and initiate lifesaving measures in the absence of a physician.
• Provide holistic care for residents within the scope of your LPN license.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of medications, medical supplies and equipment to ensure adequate stock.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting as necessary.
• Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals per facility policies.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Visit residents on your assigned unit daily to observe and evaluate each resident’s physical and emotional status and notify the charge nurse, the physician, and/or the Director of Nursing (DON) a change in a resident’s condition.
• Identify resident problems and emergency situations and initiate immediate lifesaving measures in the absence of a physician.
• Provide holistic care for residents within the scope of your LPN license.
• Assist in monitoring the inventory of medications, medical supplies and equipment to ensure that an adequate supply is on hand and readily available to meet the needs of the residents.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc. as necessary
• Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals in accordance with the facility’s policies and procedures governing accidents and incidents.

The Weekend Package Program Details

• Works a minimum of 2*(8hr) or (12hr) shifts every weekend
• The Weekend Package incentive is an additional $5.00/hour working between the hours of 6pm on Friday to 7am on Monday.
• Additional shift differentials apply when working evening or night shifts on the weekends
