Job summary
Senior Helpers of Blue Ridge is seeking compassionate weekend/overnight caregivers to support seniors in the Waynesboro, VA area. You will assist with daily living activities, safety, and provide companionship during non-traditional hours.
Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, meal prep, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and reporting changes to management. Previous caregiving is preferred but not required; reliability and empathy are essential.
Qualifications
- Experience in caregiving is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work overnight and weekend shifts.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance
- Assist with mobility and transfers to prevent falls and injuries
- Prepare meals and help with feeding as needed
- Administer medication reminders and monitor health conditions
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
- Report any changes in client condition or concerns to management promptly
