Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a weekend Occupational Therapist (OT) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Syracuse, New York. The role emphasizes hands-on rehabilitation, evaluation, and treatment planning within a collaborative team of therapists.

The OT will provide patient care on weekends, with mentorship and clinical support available, and opportunities for career growth in a state-of-the-art rehab setting. Licensure in NY is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current New York State OT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching.
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort.
