Job summary

Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA is seeking a registered professional nurse to deliver patient care on a dedicated shift, coordinate the nursing plan of care, carry out physician orders and ensure nursing standards of care using the nursing process. The role also guides and directs other members of the patient care team.

The ideal candidate will have a nursing diploma or associate degree, an active RN license (Virginia or Compact), CPR certification, and ACLS within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree required.
• RN license in Virginia or Compact state.
• CPR certification and ACLS within 1 year of hire.
• BSN/MSN preferred for advancement.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient safety best practices.

Responsibilities

Job description

Coordinator of the nursing plan of care as well as carrying out physician orders and nursing standards of care using the nursing process. Also directs and guides other members of the patient care team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma and/or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Educational requirements per hospital certifications (Example: Stroke, Orthopedic/Spine)
• Current and valid Registered nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or from a state that is part of a Compact agreement with Virginia
• CPR
• PCU- ACLS within one year of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN, MSN
