Job summary

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• ACGME Residency in General Surgery completed or in progress.
• Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery.
• ATLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Active Colorado medical license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute care surgical services at Platte Valley Hospital on an as-needed basis.
• Weekend call coverage Friday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM; minimum one weekend per month.
• Rounding on 4–10 patients and performing 3–4 surgeries per weekend; trauma handoff and patient management.
• Collaborate with a team of three surgeons and one advanced practice provider; contribute to patient-centered care.
