Pay: $44-$55 Per Visit

Responsibilities

The Weekend Registered Nurse in hospice is responsible for conducting comprehensive and timely hospice care for patients and their families after hours, including nights and weekends.

• Able to triage patient needs over the phone until an in-person visit can be provided.
• Responds appropriately and urgently to crisis calls from patients and families after hours.
• Performs initial nursing evaluations to determine hospice eligibility within 48 hours of referral, if assigned.
• Capable of conducting after-hours visits such as admissions, death visits, recertifications, and routine check-ins.
• Identifies and reassesses patient and family needs—physical, psychosocial, emotional, and environmental—at least every 15 days.
• Documents problems, goals, interventions, and responses to hospice care.

Education and Experience

Experience Requirements

• One year of clinical experience.

License Requirements

• Current RN licensure in the practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
