Job summary

Jol Healthcare is seeking a Weekend On-Call Registered Nurse to provide after-hours and weekend nursing coverage in Leander, TX. The RN will triage calls, deliver direct patient care, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to maintain high-quality, compassionate care in line with policy and state/federal regulations.

The role requires 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience, an RN license in Texas, and CPR/BLS certification, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and RN license in the state of practice.
• 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience; home health, hospice, or acute care preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification; ACLS/CHPN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary on-call nurse during assigned hours (Fri eve–Mon morn).
• Respond to patient/family calls and determine interventions or visits.
• Conduct home or facility visits to assess condition and implement physician orders.
• Complete scheduled visits totaling 8 productivity points on weekends.
• Provide education to patients/families on care, medications, and disease processes.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers and team members for coordinated care.
• Document assessments and interventions in the EHR; ensure timely handoffs.
