Job summary

Scotland Health Care System is seeking an experienced Obstetrics/Gynecology RN for a full-time role in Laurinburg, NC. You will stay current with best practices in ED/gyne care, supervise room staff, and ensure patient safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Current NC or Multistate RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Stay current with best practices in endoscopy and gastroenterology nursing.
• Ensure proper technique and standards are followed.
• Supervise room personnel as needed.
• Ensure patient identification, chart review, and changes in condition are reported.
• Verify consent form accuracy prior to procedure.
• Ensure proper body alignment during procedures.
• Check and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Care for specimens per policy and procedure.
• Complete documentation and charges.
• Accompany patient to care unit and report to nurse.
• Interview patient prior to procedure to assess needs.
• Prepare supplies considering patient and procedure needs.
• Knowledge of age groups and care across lifespan.
• Perform duties as assigned by surgical leadership.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and concerns.
