Job summary

Autumn Lake Healthcare at Norwalk is seeking a Weekend Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing services and ensure compliant, high‑quality care for residents. You will oversee LPNs and CNAs, collaborate with the Nursing Director, adjust care plans with medical staff, and coordinate admissions for weekends.

The role requires an active Connecticut RN license, strong clinical assessment and communication skills, and the ability to work independently as part of a team in a residential care setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse with CT RN license.
• 2+ years clinical experience in long‑term care or similar setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee, and execute nursing services while ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with Nursing Director to strategize operations and emergency support.
• Adjust care plans with medical staff for emergencies.
• Ensure adequate relief staff before leaving and notify physicians of major changes.
• Handle admission of new residents.
• Guide LPNs and CNAs to deliver quality care.
• Work independently with attention to detail across daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, overseeing, and executing nursing services for residents while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborating with the Nursing Director to strategize nursing service operations and emergency support provisions for shifts.
• Adjusting care plans in collaboration with medical staff to address emergency medical needs.
• Ensuring adequate relief staff availability before leaving the facility and notifying residents' personal physicians in case of significant changes in their condition or immediate medical care needs.
• Handle admission of new residents.
• Overseeing and guiding Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) in delivering quality care.
• Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations.

NOW HIRING:

7AM-7PM Saturdays, and Sunday

Qualifications & Experience Requirements for Weekend Nurse Supervisor:

• Previous Experience as a Weekend Nurse Supervisor preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse
• Current State of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
• At least one (2) year of clinical experience
• Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Long term care experience preferred
