Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Metairie, LA is seeking Weekend Nurse Practitioners to join our clinical team for weekend coverage. You will provide medical monitoring, medication management, and care coordination to support clients across treatment levels.

Qualified candidates hold a PMHNP and state license with a valid DEA, plus 3–5 years of related clinical experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative, patient-centered workplace.

Qualifications

Valid state medical license and PMHNP certification.
DEA certification required.
Acute observational and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

Create medical care plans and provide monitoring/medication management.
Stabilize patients to enable engagement in treatment.
Update orders, review UDS and lab results.
Collaborate with medical, clinical, and UR teams for coordinated care.
Maintain documentation of all interventions and directives.
Manage daily/weekly client appointment schedules.

Now Hiring Weekend Nurse Practitioners at Avenues Recovery Center in Metairie, LA.

What You'll Do

Create individual medical care treatment plans and provide medical monitoring/ medication management for each client throughout treatment
Provide quality medical care to stabilize patients and enable them to fully engage in treatment
Update pharmacy orders, create UDS, med and lab orders, and review and address UDS and lab results
Collaborate with extended medical, clinical, and UR teams for seamless coordination of care
Maintain thorough documentation of all medical interventions, consultations, and directives
Complete daily and weekly client appointment schedule in timely and efficient manner

What We're Looking For

Valid state medical license, PMHNP
Federal DEA certification
Acute observational and critical thinking skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong collaborative and multitasking skills
Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in a related clinical setting
