Job summary

Majestic Care of Fort Wayne is seeking a Weekend Nurse (RN or LPN) to render skilled nursing services to residents within an assigned unit and support the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure high quality care as directed by policy and regulations.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and active Indiana RN/LPN license are required; CPR certification is preferred but not required. Majestic Care offers quarterly pay increases, daily pay, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have active Indiana RN or LPN license.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.
