Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) invites applications for a Psychiatric Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Opioid Treatment Program at the Hampton Roads Methadone Clinic in Newport News, Virginia. This part-time role supports adults receiving medication-assisted treatment in a compassionate behavioral health team.

The successful candidate will administer medications, monitor effects, perform nursing assessments, and coordinate care with the treatment team

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
• A current Virginia LPN license in good standing.
• One year of experience administering medications or in substance use treatment/psychiatric/long-term care with narcotic dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications according to physician orders, treatment plans, and program protocols.
• Monitor clients for medication effectiveness, side effects, withdrawal symptoms, and changes in condition.
• Complete nursing assessments and accurately document observations and services provided.
• Assist the treatment team with medication management and coordination of client care.
• Provide health education and supportive nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with counselors and healthcare professionals for coordinated care.

Psychiatric Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Hourly Pay: $25.96/hr

Shift Differential: $2.50/hour for early mornings and weekend shifts

Shift: 4:30 am - 11:00 am, Weekends and Holidays - Part-time

The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) is looking for a compassionate Psychiatric Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) at the Hampton Roads Methadone Clinic in Newport News, Virginia.

Required Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must have:
