Job summary

Altea Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner for weekend, part-time coverage across two facilities in Freeport and Lena, IL. You will diagnose, treat, and guide patients in post-acute and skilled nursing care, with training and mentorship available.

This role emphasizes patient-first care, collaboration with physicians and staff, and ongoing education. DEA registration is required or obtain prior to start; all experience levels welcome.

Qualifications

• Current DEA registration or willingness to obtain prior to start date.
• Training & mentorship available for all experience levels.
• Passion for geriatrics, internal medicine, or primary care.
• Strong teamwork and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribing medications and creating treatment plans.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
• Educating patients and families on health conditions and preventive care.
• Documenting patient care accurately and efficiently.
