Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist in Longview, TX. The role requires independent judgment and expert ultrasound technique to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging for physicians.

Responsibilities include confirming orders, identifying patients, and maintaining safety, while ensuring accurate documentation and PACS uploads for radiologist review. Certification eligibility and state-of-the-art equipment familiarity are desired.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of clinical ultrasound experience required.
• 2–4 years of ultrasound experience preferred.
• ARDMS or ARRT sonography certification required or registry eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures independently, adhering to department protocols and ensuring high-quality, diagnostic imaging results.
• Verify patient identification and ensure the appropriate procedures are ordered and acknowledged prior to conducting imaging.
• Document imaging procedures and patient information; ensure uploads to PACS for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following safety and infection control guidelines.
• Monitor and replenish imaging materials and supplies as needed.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with all policies and standards.
