Job description

We are looking for a Weekend Night Shift Warehouse Lead to join our team in Frackville, PA.

About Freight Breakers:

Freight Breakers provides managed labor services to support warehouse, distribution center, and cross dock operations. We are a North Carolina based company with operations from Pennsylvania to Texas. With onsite leadership and a production-minded labor force, we provide our customers with site-centric solutions to high touch manual processes.

Basic Function:

Coordinate the work of employees who load and unload material within the warehouse or storage facility. Monitor the utilization of hand trucks, forklifts, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from containers or trailers and within the storage facility. Prepare work schedules, and oversee the work flow. Ensure procedures are followed according to specifications.

This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The individual shall perform a variety of complicated tasks as well as lead and direct the work of others.

Schedule:

  • Friday-Sunday, 7:00PM-7:30AM

Responsibilities:

  • Support the leadership in monitoring daily inbound and outbound schedules to anticipate resource planning, equipment, and effective process flow.
  • Assist leadership to prioritize shipping and receiving activities to effectively meet order fulfillment and shipping schedules.
  • Accomplish all assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Oversee accuracy of incoming and outgoing paperwork; ensure paperwork is processed promptly and correctly.
  • Assist new employees with the training and orientation of the warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Maintain positive and effective communication with peers, management, and other departments.
  • Assist with the document control process to maintain current and reliable SOPs as well as emergency operation procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
  • Coach, train, and develop a team (e.g., on-floor coaching) and formal (e.g., written evaluation) job performance feedback while ensuring associate stability and retention.
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication with all management personnel (internal/external support).
  • Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards in compliance with customer and company expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvements in all areas of operations.
  • Meet standards and goals with customer KPI’s in all functional areas.
  • Ensure associates comply with all company and customer policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent communications (written/verbal), interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimal supervision, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
  • Proactive leadership abilities to direct managing supervisors, leads, and associates.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible work schedule.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Previous experience managing a multiple shift operation preferred.
  • Bilingual communications a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Attendance is a MUST!!!!
