Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store is seeking a Program Assistant to help manage a residential program and support beneficiaries' recovery journey. You will enforce house rules, coordinate orientations, and supervise staff during weekends and evening shifts.

This part-time role offers weekend hours, benefits, and opportunities for training within a mission-driven environment that serves the local community. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce house rules and maintain overall center security.
• Conduct new beneficiary orientations including facility tours.
• Lead weekly house meetings.
• Supervise medication calls and ensure proper documentation.
• Respond to beneficiary inquiries and emergencies.
• Complete incident reports and SafeFromHarm documentation.
• Conduct regular bed checks.
• Implement and coordinate leisure time activities.
• Provide safe transportation when needed.
• Assist in resolving beneficiary problems.
• Train and supervise work therapy assignments.
• Assess and refer spiritual needs to Chaplain/Administrator.
