Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a Production Supervisor for the weekend night shift in Rockbridge, VA. You will lead a manufacturing team focused on safe, efficient, and quality-driven production of chillers.

You will drive lean improvements, coordinate with engineering and maintenance, and ensure timely execution of production schedules while mentoring staff and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in manufacturing leadership.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environment, preferably in HVAC, refrigeration, or related industries.
• Familiarity with chiller systems, refrigeration components, and manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Strong team management, coaching, and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to leadership.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and delivering high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations and maintain a safe, efficient, and quality-focused environment.
• Lead and develop a team of production staff; schedule and allocate workloads to meet output targets.
• Implement lean practices (5S, continuous improvement) to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain to resolve issues and optimize processes.
