Job summary

Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, CT is seeking a Campus Safety Officer for a Saturday overnight per diem position (11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) with potential additional shifts.

The role requires experience with youth, strong communication, and a valid driver's license with clean driving history. The officer will patrol campus facilities, assist with events, provide on-call transportation when needed, and uphold safety protocols for a residential school environment.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with young people in an academic setting is preferred.
• Strong judgment and ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus buildings and grounds to ensure safety and security of students, staff, visitors, and facilities.
• Oversee dining, athletics, and academic spaces to maintain order and safety in line with health and safety protocols.
• Serve as on-call driver to transport students to medical appointments and other approved locations.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of campus events as needed.
• Monitor campus activity, document incidents, and respond to emergencies promptly.
