Job summary

Seabury at Pomperaug Woods in Southbury, CT is seeking a dependable Security Guard for weekend evenings (12 AM–8 AM) to maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The role offers a chance to stay active and provide exceptional service in a resident-centered community.

The position is part-time with duties including monitoring entrances, responding to emergencies, and coordinating with the Plant Services department to ensure campus safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled security rounds throughout the community, both indoors and outdoors.
• Monitor building entrances, doors, and windows to ensure security.
• Respond to emergency calls, fire alarms, and other urgent situations.
• Complete detailed shift reports and document incidents or unusual occurrences.
• Assist with safety inspections and property security.
• Escort employees to and from vehicles after dark as needed.
• Help maintain safe walkways and entrances during inclement weather.
• Perform light maintenance and custodial duties as needed.
• Generate work orders and report maintenance concerns.
• Support emergency response efforts during community-wide events or weather emergencies.
