Sentara Virginia Beach is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg Telemetry Neuro/Stroke Unit, 2 East. New grads welcome. Shift: FT (36hrs) - Weekend Nights (Fri-Sun).

As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you will assess/admit patients, administer medications, and collaborate with families and the care team to provide exceptional patient care on a 21-bed neurology/stroke unit. NIHSS certification opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• ADN required, BSN preferred.
• Virginia or compact multistate RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• New grads welcome; experienced RNs encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assess and admit patients and perform rounding checks.
• Administer medications and monitor patient status.
• Communicate with families regarding care plans.
• Provide overall care and coordinate with the care team.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
