UPMC Altoona is seeking a Staff Nurse for weekend shifts (Fri 3 p.m. to Mon 7 a.m.). This full-time role requires active PA RN licensure and at least six months of nursing experience.

You will provide direct care, administer medications and IV therapy, and work within an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes. Weekend program includes benefits such as medical coverage, disability, tuition reimbursement, and PTO, with sign-on bonuses available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Pennsylvania RN license.
• Minimum six months of nursing experience.
• Successful completion of orientation and probationary period.
• CPR/ACLS/BLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale certification encouraged.
• Act 34 clearance required.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care using nursing protocols and document procedures safely.
• Assess and reassess patients and adjust care plans with families and staff.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families; mentor and support other staff members.
