Job summary

Ozarks First in Springfield, Missouri, is seeking a Weekend Anchor/Multimedia Journalist to lead our news coverage across platforms. You will present stories for TV, digital, CTV App, and social, and you will write and produce content for each channel.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of reporting/anchoring experience, strong English communication, and a proven ability to meet deadlines. You will interact with the audience and contribute to promotions and special projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Fluency in English.
Minimum three years’ experience in news reporting or anchoring.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Experience guiding, directing, and motivating others.

Responsibilities

Presents news stories for linear, digital, CTV App, and social.
Writes and produces content for linear, digital, CTV App, and social.
Ensures content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.
Writes and delivers news stories clearly and concisely.
Acts as field reporter or field anchor as assigned.
Responds to breaking news and urgent newsroom situations.
