Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a board-certified nephrology physician for 100% adult inpatient nephrology coverage in a locum tenens assignment. The weekend schedule runs 5 pm Friday to 8 am Monday, roughly one weekend per month, with 10–30 patients daily depending on volume.

Duties include management of dialysis patients (hemodialysis, CRRT, peritoneal dialysis) and post-renal transplant care. Hospital privileges required; paid malpractice, plus pre-paid travel and housing.

Qualifications

• Board certification required.
• Hospital privileges required.
• 100% adult inpatient nephrology setting.
• Experience with dialysis modalities (hemo, CRRT, peritoneal).
• Experience with post-renal transplant care.

Responsibilities

• Weekend coverage schedule: 5 pm Friday to 8 am Monday, about 1 weekend per month.
• Provide care for 10–30 patients per day on weekends depending on volume.
• Manage adult inpatient nephrology patients, including dialysis (hemo, CRRT, peritoneal).
• Care for post-renal transplant patients as required.
