Job summary

The Gilder Search Group is seeking a Part-Time Weekend Nanny in Arlington for a 7-year-old with ADHD. The role is weekend-focused, Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm, with 16 hours weekly guaranteed and long-term commitment.

You will provide one-on-one supervision, structure, and positive reinforcement, plan active weekend activities, and accompany outings. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required, as is a love of active weekends.

Qualifications

• Required: professional experience with ADHD or neurodivergent children.
• Experience supporting school-age children with structure, routine, and guidance.
• Ability to use patient, positive redirection and behavioral support strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one supervision and companionship during weekend shifts.
• Support ADHD-related needs through structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement.
• Maintain a predictable routine with advance notice before transitions.
• Use patient redirection and positive behavioral support strategies.
• Plan and lead active, age-appropriate activities including crafts, outdoor play, and outings.
• Drive the child to activities, lessons, and destinations such as playgrounds, museums, and swim lessons.
• Remain present and engaged during scheduled activities and lessons.
• Provide close supervision during swimming and water activities.
