Job summary

Home Work Staffing in Arlington, VA is seeking a Part-Time Weekend Nanny for a 7-year-old with ADHD. This is a dedicated one-on-one role with weekend days from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays, ASAP start.

The ideal candidate will have professional experience with ADHD or neurodivergent children, provide structure, positive reinforcement, and engaging activities, including trips to parks, museums, and swim lessons.

Qualifications

• Professional experience working with children who have ADHD and/or are neurodivergent
• Experience supporting school-age children who benefit from structure and routine
• Ability to use patient, positive redirection and behavioral support strategies

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, one-on-one supervision and companionship during weekend shifts
• Support ADHD-related needs through structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement
• Maintain a predictable routine with advance notice before transitions
• Plan active, age-appropriate activities and occasional outings
• Drive the child to activities and supervise in various settings
• Minimize screen time and keep days engaging and moving
• Communicate clearly with parents about the day's events
